About Us

The Society of Arts and Crafts

Craftboston is produced by The Society of Arts and Crafts.  The Society of Arts and Crafts, a non profit organization, has been at the forefront of the American craft movement, fostering the development, sales, recognition and education of crafts for over one hundred years. Our highly-committed founders developed standards of excellence in design and technical mastery for crafts that inspired the American Arts and Crafts Movement.

Craftboston is New England’s premiere exhibition and sale of contemporary art, craft and design. Craftboston Spring takes place annually in the spring at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. The shows will feature 200 of the most outstanding artists of our time, showcasing one-of-a- kind and limited-edition pieces in baskets, ceramics, decorative fiber, wearables, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper and wood. Additionally, Craftboston Spring features work by emerging artists from leading schools and universities, an artist mentor program, a book seller, an educational lecture series, tours for guests who are blind and visually impaired and other special interest groups, and informational booths promoting non-profit craft organizations.

Join us again for Craftboston Holiday held in December at the Cyclorama in the Boston Center for the Arts. Craftboston Holiday features 90 of the most innovative craft artists of our time and is an amazing opportunity for creative shoppers, collectors and those who are looking for the perfect gift to complete their holiday shopping!

We look forward to seeing you at both of our shows!
